We are looking for a Staff Accountant to aid in all financial transactions, from fixed payments, cost ledger, and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. We are looking for an experienced, dedicated professional who can thrive in our performance-driven and fast-paced work environment and has a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.

 

Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring bills are paid promptly and invoices are collected efficiently
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions
  • Budgeting: Assist in the development and maintenance of the law firm's annual budget
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax preparation and filing processes
  • Audit Support: Provide support during financial audits and work with external auditors as necessary
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve financial performance
  • Billing and Client Trust Accounting: Manage client billing processes and maintain client trust accounts in compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable terms for services and supplies

 

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of accounting/finance experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while highly focused.
  • Detailed-oriented with exceptional analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience of QuickBooks with knowledge of 12-14 LLC Properties and real estate property functions.  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization.
  • Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation.
  • Strong sense of confidentiality and ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to work under pressure/deadlines and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously; self-motivated.
  • Professional presentation in attire, demeanor, appearance, and compliance to company dress code.
